Plasma gene transfection device

This device induces cellular endocytosis using plasma, enabling the intracellular delivery of molecules with minimal damage.
It allows efficient, virus-free molecular delivery into a wide range of cell types, including primary cells, through a simple and straightforward process.
Features
-

Easy Introduction Process
Cells can be treated directly in the culture plate without the need for detachment procedures.
-

Broad Molecular Compatibility
Capable of delivering a wide range of molecules, from small compounds to plasmid vectors exceeding 15 kbp in size.
-

Applicable to a Wide Range of Cell Types
Compatible with various cell types, including primary cells.
Mechanism of Plasma Gene Transfection

Endocytosis enables the delivery of molecules into cells with minimal cellular damage and can be applied to cell manufacturing.
Operating Procedure

Unlike conventional electroporators, our proprietary device does not require cell detachment and enables gene introduction directly in the culture plate.
It is well suited for applications such as high-throughput screening and other workflows that require streamlined handling.

Episomal Vector Delivery into Primary Cells

GFP-expressing plasmids were successfully introduced into human preadipocytes.
A 12-kbp episomal vector was also delivered, and stable expression was maintained beyond day 7. -
Direct Reprogramming via a Non-Viral Method

An episomal vector (15 kbp) carrying reprogramming factors—including a newly discovered factor identified by Juntendo University—was successfully introduced into human preadipocytes.
This approach enabled direct reprogramming into pancreatic β cells.
